Gudila(chana) is an easy chole recipe with minimum ingredients made in restaurant style. This is a must try recipe for your child. Chana is rich in carbs and protein, much needed for your growing child.

1 cup laal chana (soaked overnight and ground coarsely), 2 aaloo (peel the skin and cut in 1 inch pieces), 2 onions finely chopped, 1 tsp. each garlic and ginger paste, ½ tsp. cumin powder, ¼ tsp. turmeric powder, ½ tsp. red chili powder, 1 tsp. garam masala powder, 2 cloves, 2 chhoti ilaichi, 4 tbsp. oil, 2 tsp. ghee, salt as desired
1. Heat oil in a pan; add chopped onions and fry till golden brown colour.
2. Add garlic and ginger paste and sauté until the raw smell fades away. Add all the masalas except clove and ilaichi and stir well.
3. Now add the aaloo, ground chana and stir and cover. Add 2 cups of water and bring to boil. Simmer and cook until the aaloo is cooked well.
4. Heat ghee in a tempering pan and fry the clove and the ilaichi and pour it on the chana.
Serve to your child with rice or roti.
