Yes, you have heard it right! Gulab jamun can be transformed from a sweet to sabzi. It is healthy for kids and has a delicious taste. This is a very popular dish of Jodhpur that has a unique taste.

2 cups of gulab jamin mix, oil for frying, 3 tbs oil, 3 green chilli, 1/4 tsp turmeric powder, ½ tsp cumin powder, ½ tsp coriander powder, ½ tsp red chilli powder, 2 cloves, 1 bay leaf, 2 pods cardamom, 2 tomatoes chopped, 10 cashew nuts soaked and grounded to paste, salt as per the taste
1. Make gulab jamun balls by using gulab jamun mix. Deep fry these balls when they are golden brown. Keep them aside.
2. Blend tomato and green chilies into a paste and keep that aside.
3. Heat oil and roast cardamom, cloves, bay leaves together. Add tomato paste to this and fry till it is separated from the oil.
4. Add coriander powder, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, and salt.
5. Mix them well and add water that is required to give you a thick gravy.
6. Once the gravy is thickened and ready, add fried gulab jamuns to it.
7. Add cashew nut paste in the end and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
Serve this yummy sabzi with hot roti.
