Gulkand

With rose petals and sugar, you can prepare a jam called Gulkand. This sweet Indian delicacy has many health benefits besides being tasty. It helps in digestion and is also a good source of carbohydrates. You can store this jam in an air tight container and refrigerate it.

    Ingredients to make Gulkand:

    1 cup rose petals, 3 tbsp sugar

    Steps to make Gulkand:

    1. Collect fresh rose petals. Clean and dry them by spreading on a paper.

    2. Chop the petals.

    3. Spread a layer of the petals in a dry glass jar.

    4. Now spread sugar evenly on top of the petals layer.

    5. Repeat this till all the petals are over.

    6. Close the jar with a lid and keep in sunlight for 8 to 10 days. Mix the Gulkand every other day.

    Yummy Gulkand jam is ready. Store in an airtight container and refrigerate it.
