Herb Rice

Dill leaves have a strong aroma and flavour. It is a good source of dietary fibre, vitamins like A and C and minerals like iron, calcium and potassium. When added to rice and toor dal which has vital carbohydrates and protein respectively, you can prepare tasty Herb Rice. This main course dish tastes awesome and is packed with all nutrients.

    Ingredients to make Herb Rice:

    1 cup rice, 2 tbsp toor dal, ¼ cup dill leaves, 1 tsp oil, water as required

    Steps to make Herb Rice:

    1. Finely chop dill leaves.

    2. Wash and soak the rice and toor dal together.

    3. In a pressure pan, put oil. Add the rice and toor dal. Add the dil leaves. Saute for 2 mins.

    4. Add 1.5 cup water. Pressure cook for 2 whistles.

    Yummy and healthy herb rice is ready to relish. Enjoy!
