Homemade Granola Bars

There are various homemade recipes which can surprise you. You can create Granola Bars at home using simple ingredients. You would require crushed corn flakes, cooking rolled oats, melon seeds, raisins, sugar, mixed nuts and oil. Corn flakes make this recipe low on saturated fat and rich in Iron.

    Steps:

    1. The first step is to roast the oats, melon seeds and nuts for some time.

    2. Let it cool and then add cornflakes and raisins.

    3. Take a heavy bottomed pan and add sugar to heat until it melts. Observe when it grows brown. Take it off from the heat and add the other ingredients. Mix it well.

    4. Now place the mixture on a stone surface and using a rolling pin form rectangular shapes.

    Let it cool down and store it in an air-tight container. You can treat with these bars during snack time.
