Jhal Muri is a popular Bengali street food, which is loved by people of all age groups specially kids. This is an easy snack recipe and can be made in just few minutes. Just gather the basic ingredients and mix them together. A special blend of spices including tamarind pulp and mustard oil are also added to jhaal muri. This is a simple yet delicious snack.

1 cup puffed rice, 1 small boiled chopped potato,1 tsp salt, 1 small finely chopped onion , 1 small finely chopped cucumber, 2 tbsp peanuts, 2 tpsp coriander leaves, 3 tablespoon mustard oil, 1 finely chopped green chillies, ½ tsp red chilli powder, ½ tsp chat masala, ¼ cup sev, 1/4 cup tamarind paste
1. Combine all the dry spices together. Set aside.
2.Heat 1 tsp of oil in a small pan on medium heat, add peanuts and roast it for 2 minutes by stirring continuously till lightly brown. Set aside.
3. Dry roast the muri/puffed rice on medium heat for about 3 minutes. Keep it aside. Make sure muri should not change color while roasting, just make them crispy.
4. Add the peanuts, sev, potato, cucumber, green chili, coriander leaves, tamarind paste, mustard oil and spices.
Toss them and serve it to your kiddo.
