Kafuli

Prepare lip-smacking Kafuli for lunch menu and impress with your culinary skills. This easy-to-make curry recipe is made using spinach, fenugreek leaves, garlic, ginger, green chillies, curd, rice paste and a melange of spices is rich in iron and calcium too.

    Ingredients to make Kafuli:

    2 bunches of spinach, ½ bunch of fenugreek leaves, 2-3 green chiles chopped, 2 tbsp oil, 2-3 garlic cloves, 1 tsp chopped ginger, 1 tsp cumin seeds, a pinch of hing, 1 tbsp coriander powder, ½ tsp turmeric powder, 1 tbsp rice paste, 2 tbsp curd, water as required, salt as required.

    Steps to make Kafuli:

    1. Wash spinach and fenugreek leaves properly. Boil them and then blend them in to a puree along with green chilli.

    2. Heat oil in a pan; add cumin seeds and hing. Add ginger and garlic and fry for a minute.

    3. Add puree, coriander powder, turmeric powder, salt. Add required amount of water and bring it to boil.

    4. Now add curd and rice paste. Mix well and simmer for 2-3 minutes. Add water if required.

    Garnish with cream and serve hot with chapati.
