Khatti Meethi Kairi ki Kadhi

A must try, tasty, refreshing, and easy to make kadhi recipe is here for you. It is prepared often in households, especially in thhe summers. Raw mangoes contain good amount of vitamin C, carbohydrate, protein and fats.

Ingredients to make Khatti Meethi Kairi ki Kadhi:

½ coconut grated, 2 green chiles and water as required, 2 raw mangoes peeled and finely chopped, 1 tsp turmeric powder, salt to taste, 1½ tsp jaggery, 2½ cup curd, 2 tbsp. oil, 1 tsp seeds, few curry leaves, 2 whole dry Kashmiri red chiles broken, and 2 peppercorns

Steps to make Khatti Meethi Kairi ki Kadhi:

1. Take ½ grated coconut, 2 green chillies and water as required and blend them into a smooth paste.

2. Take a non-stick pan and add the mangoes, turmeric powder, salt and jaggery and cook on a medium flame till the mangoes become soft and tender.

3.Switch off the flame. Let it cool down. Then blend the mixture using blender/mixer into a smooth puree. Keep aside.

4. Now heat the oil in a pan and add the mustard seeds. Let it splutter then add the curry leaves, red chillies and pepper powder and mix well.

5. Add yogurt, pureed mango and coconut paste into the pan.

6. Stir continuously and bring the mixture to a boil. If required, add 1/4 cup of water if the mixture seems to be too thick.

Serve hot with rice or rotis.
