Kosumbari

A traditional salad recipe cooked in southern India, Kosumbari is a delicious salad that you can make at home for your loved ones. This salad comes with the goodness of urad dal, radish, and methi leaves, which altogether provide protein, fibers, vitamins and minerals that boost our immunity. An easy-to-make and a quick salad recipe, it is prepared using soaked urad dal, radish and methi leaves; this dish has a very different flavour. Try it at home.

    Ingredients to make Kosumbari:

    Soaked urad dal-½ cup, grated radish-½ cup, methi leaves-few, salt-to taste and chaat masala-1 tsp

    Steps to make Kosumbari:

    1. Take a bowl and add enough water in it to soak urad dal for about 2 hours. Drain the water from the bowl, a fter the soaking period and keep the dal aside.

    2. To prepare the salad, take a large bowl and add the soaked urad dal in it along with grated radish, roughly chopped methi leaves and salt.

    At last, sprinkle chaat masala over it. Serve during lunch or dinner as a side dish.
