You can make delicious soft sweet Kozhukattai with raw rice. This is a perfect sweet snack. These steamed dumplings are easy to make and rich in carbohydrates.

    Ingredients to make Kozhukattai:

    1 cup raw rice, ½ cup coconut, ¾ cup jaggery, 2 tsp oil, 1 tbsp ghee, ¼ tsp cardamom powder

    Steps to make Kozhukattai Recipe:

    1. In a blender, grind the raw rice coarsely.

    2. In a kadai, add water and bring to a boil.

    3. Add grated coconut, jaggery and cardamom powder. Mix well.

    4. Add the ground rice and stir very well. Simmer the flame, cover and cook the mixture for 10 minutes. You can stir in between.

    5. Finally add ghee and mix well. Switch off the flame.

    6. When the mixture is no more hot, but warm shape it into dumplings and steam for 10 minutes.

    Sweet and delicious Kozhukattai recipe is ready. Serve warm and enjoy these steamed dumplings.
