Kurmura Chikki is not just tasty and healthy but also easy for you to prepare. It is rich in iron as well as fiber.

½ cup grated jaggery (gur), 3 cups clean and sifted puffed rice (kurmura), 1 tbsp ghee, water just enough to soak jaggery
1. Heat jaggery and water in a saucepan and stir until the jaggery melts completely. Strain the mixture using a strainer.
2. In a thick bottomed pan pour the strained jaggery and heat it on medium heat and bring it to boil.
3. Grease a tray and keep it ready.
4. Once the jaggery is in pearl like consistency when dropped in a small plate of water, add the puffed rice and mix well.
5. Pour the mixture immediately in the tray and spread it evenly.
After a few minutes, with a sharp knife, cut them into desired shapes.
