Besan can be an ideal option for those kids with gluten intolerance as it is gluten-free. It is rich in fiber, iron, and potassium. It is a great source of vitamin B6, which is needed to maintain a healthy immune system.

    Ingredients to make Lightweight Dhokla (1 serving):

    Besan -60gms, curd -100gms, mustard seeds, red chillies, baking powder, turmeric powder, salt to taste

    Steps to make Lightweight Dhokla:

    1. In a bowl, mix besan salt, sugar, and turmeric. Add water, curd, and make it into a smooth batter with medium thick consistency.

    2. In a small bowl add baking powder. Add water to it and pour this into the dhokla mixture.

    3. Grease the steaming tin with 2 drops of oil and pour the mixture into it. Steam for about 15-20 minutes or till cooked.

    4. In a pan, add oil, mustard seeds, curry leaves and red chilies. Let it splutter.

    5. Pour the tadka over the prepared dhokla.

    Cut into pieces and serve!
