Litti Chokha is a delicacy that is made using wheat flour, potatoes, tomatoes, and a variety of dry spices. Litti are whole wheat balls, which are roasted over charcoal. They can also be baked. On the other hand, chokha is a dip that is prepared using potatoes and tomatoes flavoured with spices.

Ingredients to make Litti Chokha:

For Litti:

1 cup wheat flour, ¼ cup rava, 1 tsp butter, 1 tsp ajwain seeds, ½ tsp baking soda, 1 green chilli, 3-4 sprigs of coriander leaves, 1 tsp ginger, 1 tsp oil, 1 tsp lemon juice

For Chokha:

1 potato, 2 tomatoes, 1 onion, 2 garlic cloves, small piece of ginger, 1 green chilli, 3-4 sprigs of coriander leaves, 2 tsp oil, salt as per taste

Steps to make Litti Chokha:

1. For litti, grate the ginger and chop the green chillies and coriander leaves. In a mixing bowl, add wheat flour, rava and oil. Give a good mix. Add the rest of the ingredients. Make into a dough.

2. Take small portions of the dough and shape into balls. Roll the balls gently between your palms.

3. Arrange the litties over a greased baking tray and bake them for about 10 mins. Turn them and bake for another 10 mins. Golden brown litties are ready.

4. For Chokha, grill the tomato. Peel and mash the tomato. Boil the potato.

5. Add the mashed tomato and potato to a bowl.

6. Add finely chopped onion and rest of the ingredients.

Yummilicious Chokha is ready. Litti and Chokha along with butter are ready to be served. Enjoy this delicious meal.
