Masala Patrakobi Bhaja

This is one of the simple and easy recipe which is packed with nutrients like Vitamin C, good amount of folic and fibre. Adding green peas will bring a beautiful color. Green peas are a very good source of vitamin K, manganese, dietary fibre, iron, magnesium, vitamin B1, copper, vitamin C, phosphorus, and folate.

    Ingredients to make Masala Patrakobi Bhaja:

    200 gm cabbage, 1 medium onion, ½ inch ginger, 3 cloves garlic, 1 medium tomato, 1 cup green peas, 1 medium potato, 1 pc dry chiles, 1 tsp jeera, 1 tsp mustard seeds, 1/4 tsp turmeric powder, ½ tsp red chili powder, ½ tsp coriander powder, ½ tsp garam masala, 2 tbsp. refined oil, and salt to taste

    Steps to make Masala Patrakobi Bhaja:

    1. Wash and rinse the cabbage. Chop it into tiny slices. Also dice the potatoes into small cube sizes.

    2. Finely chop the onion and tomato.

    3. Make a fine paste of ginger, garlic and dry chilies.

    4. Heat oil in pan and add mustard and cumin seeds. Let them splutter.

    5. Then add the onion slices and fry it till it turns light brown.

    6. Add the garlic-ginger paste and fry it over medium flame until it begins turning a light brown.

    7. Finally add the tomatoes and continue to fry till the paste is well cooked. Add all the dry spices like salt,garam masala, coriander powder and red chilli.

    8. Then add the cabbage, potatoes, green peas, turmeric powder. Mix it well.

    9.Cover the pan with a lid and cook it on a medium flame till the cabbage and potatoes tender cooked.

    Serve it hot with phulkas.
