A quick and easy recipe for your child! This recipe contains capsicum, which is a bright colored vegetable that can attract your baby. It contains Vitamin C that helps in fighting infections and thereby strengthens your child's immune system. Vitamin A and beta-carotene present in capsicum result in improved eye health when consumed in adequate amounts. Adding capsicum in your child's diet regularly will reduce the risk of visual impairments. Capsicum is affluent in dietary fiber, it can regulate digestion. It also reduces the risk of constipation in kids. The recipe also contains carrots, which are extremely high in Vitamin A, which is good for your baby`s eyesight.

Ingredients to make Mashed Pulao (1 serving):
Capsicum -50 g, rice -30gms, chopped carrots- 25 g, peas -15 g, tomatoes-50 g, green chillies-5 g, Onions -50 g, Butter-15 g, oil -10 ml, spices (garam masala, coriander powder to taste), salt to taste
Steps to make Mashed Pulao:
1. Heat the cooker add butter and oil the cooker( add the bay leaf or cardamom if required, don't use the whole clove).
2. Add chop onions sauté until golden brown
3. Add ginger garlic paste and cook until the oil the sides of the cooker
4. Add the chopped capsicum, carrots, peas. chilies and tomatoes cook sauté in medium flame
5. Add Rice, spices like garam masala, coriander powder, and salt to taste
6. Add one and a half cup water, and close the lid of the cooker.
NOTE: If you are baby/toddler won't prefer whole rice, increase the water amount while cooking and give it in mashed form. Also, take care to remove the whole spices while feeding.
Delicious Pulao is ready! You can garnish the pulao with some golden brown cashews!
