A hot and yummy snack, called Matar Kachori, can be made using maida and green peas. Maida gives a soft and crisp texture to these kachoris. Green Peas are a good source of vitamins, minerals and dietary fibre. The simple peas are flavoured with hing and garam masala powder and tastes great.

1 cup maida, 1 tsp ghee, ¾ th cup green peas, 1 tsp hing, 1 tsp garam masala powder, salt as per taste, salt as per taste, water as required, 1 tsp oil, oil for frying
1. In a bowl, add maida, ghee and salt. Mix well. Add water and make a dough.
2. Cover the bowl and rest the dough for half an hour.
3. In a pan, add oil. Add hing. Once warm, add the boiled peas/frozen peas. Add garam masala powder and salt. Saute for 3-5 minutes and slightly mash the peas.
4. Cool the peas mixture. In a kadai, pour oil for frying and warm the oil on medium flame.
5. Take a ball sized dough and roll into a size of poori.
6. Take one tbsp of peas mixture and seal the stuffing with he edges of the poori.
7. Roll the stuffed poori gently.
8. Add the stuffed poori carefully in the warm oil and cook on both sides till golden brown.
Hot and tasty Matar kachori is all ready to relish. Serve this perfect evening snack with sauce. Enjoy.
