Moong dal is rich in protein and you can prepare mouth-watering laddoos with it. Flavouring the laddoo with sugar, ghee, and dry fruits like cashews and raisins, enhances the taste and richness of this sweet. Ghee provides the fats while sugar gives the carbohydrates.

1 cup moong dal, 1/3 cup sugar, ¼ cup ghee, 4-5 cashews, 4-5 raisins
1. In a wide pan, add the moong dal and dry roast on medium flame for 5-10 minutes or till the dal starts emitting an aroma.
2. Remove the dal in a plate and allow it to cool down.
3. Once cooled, grind the moong dal to a fine powder.
4. Using a sieve, sift the flour onto a plate.
5. In a blender, blend the sugar to a fine powder. Add the cardamom powder too.
6. In a pan, add ghee. Add the finely chopped raisins and cashews and saute for 2-3 minutes.
7. In a mixing bowl, add the moong dal and sugar cardamom powder. Add the ghee dry fruit mixture. Mix very well.
8. Take small portions of the mixture and roll them into small balls.
Delicious Moong Dal Laddoo is ready!
