Mukand Wadi is a popular Sindhi recipe that is made from wheat flour and added spices for flavor and aroma. The dish is rich in iron and vitamins and your kiddo would totally love it.
Contents
3 cups flour, cinnamon half inch stick, 2 cloves, 2 green chilies, black pepper corns, 1/2 tsp crushed ginger, 1 pinch baking soda, 1/4 tsp cumin seeds, red chilli powder, salt to taste, pinch of hing, carrots, french beans and spinach.
1. Mix flour and salt and add some water to make a stiff dough.
2. Place dough in the water for 10 minutes and then drain it. Knead the dough and do it 3-4 times, so that it remains one-forth.
3. Knead this dough along with spices and make small balls of this dough.
4. Make vegetable stock by heating some water in a pan and add ginger, peppercorns, chili, cloves, cinnamon, and vegetables. Once this water boils, add small balls of the dough into it. Boil them in water till they start floating and come on the surface.
5. Drain the wadis and let them cool down.
6. Once they are dry, fry them in the oil till they turn golden brown.
Serve it hot with rice or curry.
