Mulberries make delightful chutney for your child. This recipe is simple and easy. It has iron, riboflavin, and vitamin C.

    Ingredients to make Mulberries/Shahtoot Chutney:

    1 cup shahtoot/mulberries, ½ cup fresh grated coconut, salt to taste, 1 tsp. sugar (optional), ¼ tsp. garam masala, 1 green chilli finely chopped, ½ tsp. grated ginger, 1 tbsp. mint leaves, 1 tsp. oil

    Steps to make Mulberries/Shahtoot Chutney:

    1. Heat oil in a frying pan and add washed mulberries and salt into this. Mix and cook over low heat until mulberries turn mushy. Add grated coconut, sugar, garam masala, green chili, ginger and mint leaves.

    2. Mix well and cook over low heat until the chutney thickens. Remove from the heat and let it be cooled completely. Store in an airtight jar.

    Serve them to your child with crackers, on toasts, or just like that to enjoy.
