Multigrain Roti

Made with ingredients found in most kitchens, this excellent low calorie breakfast choice is a combination of three nutritious flours that provide iron, protein, fibre and vitamin B3. Though multi-grain flours are always an excellent dietary option and an apt. departure from the monotony of wheat flour, it should not become a permanent part of your diet. You must keep tweaking it and playing with it to keep your system smooth and open to changes. It is interesting for the palate and excellent for digestion.

    Ingredients to make Multigrain Roti:

    Wheat flour-½ cup, soy flour-½ cup, oats flour-½ cup, salt-to taste, oil-1/4 cup, water-3/4 cup and ghee-1 tsp

    Steps to make Multigrain Roti:

    1. Mix all the flour in a large bowl. Add salt and mix well.

    2. Add little ghee and mix.

    3. Add water and knead to get asoft dough.

    4. Make small dough balls and sprinkle some multigrain flour over it.

    5. Roll out chapati using rolling pin.

    6. Heat tava and put chapati. Cook both the sides using oil on medium flame.

    Serve hot with dal or vegetable curry.
