Mumbai Masala Toast

Here you have the Mumbai street side Masala Toast. When you prepare this toast in the unique toaster, you get a crisp cone triangle shape, locking the sides of toast. Potato is a good source of Vitamins C and B6, manganese, phosphorus, niacin, and pantothenic acid.

    Ingredients to make Mumbai Masala Toast:

    2 boiled Potato and mashed, ½ tsp. chaat masala, salt to taste, water as required, 2 tsp oil, ½ tsp cumin seeds, 3 tbsp chopped coriander leaves, 1 thin sliced onion, tomato, capsicum, ½ tsp cumin powder, ¼ tsp turmeric, 1 inch grated ginger, ½ tsp pepper powder or red chilli powder, 3 tsp butter, 6 sliced bread (whole wheat)

    Steps to make Mumbai Masala Toast:

    1. Heat a pan and add oil. Add cumin seeds and grated ginger.

    2. Sauté and add mashed potatoes, turmeric, chilli or pepper powder, chaat masala, cumin powder and salt to taste.

    3. Sauté for 3-4 minutes mixing all the ingredients thoroughly.

    4. Take a bread slice and top with one ring of onion, tomato and capsicum, sprinkle little chaat masala on the rings.

    5. Spread 1 tbsp of potato masala and cover it with another slice of bread.

    6. Toast the sandwich with some butter to golden and crisp.

    7. You can use either the stove topped toaster or the tawa to toast the bread.

    8. Top with sev and sprinkle little chaat masala.
