Your little munchkin is growing rapidly, and demands something nutritious and filling at all times. Try our Murukku recipe made from parboiled rice, which provides carbohydrates, and also has roasted gram, which provides protein.

Parboiled Rice– 1 cup mashed, roasted gram– 2 tbsp powdered, salt to taste, asafoetida– 1/4 tsp, jeera seeds – 1 tsp, water as needed, oil for deep frying
1. Mix all the ingredients except oil and water. Add water to make a soft dough.
2. Heat oil for deep frying. Fill the murukku press with the dough and press it out in small circles directly into the hot oil.
3. Fry till golden. Drain and serve.
