Ingredients to make Nadia Bara Tarakaree:
1 cup chana dal, 1/4th coconut, 250 gm onions, 4 inch ginger, garlic 6 cloves, 2 dry red chillies, 100 gm potatoes, turmeric, cumin powder, coriander powder, finely chopped coriander leaves, tejpata
Steps to make Nadia Bara Tarakaree:
1. Make a paste of onion, ginger, and garlic for the masala.
2. Soak the chana dal in water for 4 hours.
3. Drain the water and put the chana dal in a blender with coconut, red chilis, and salt. Grind the mixture well.
4. Add some coriander leaves in the mixture.
5. Heat oil and deep fry this.
6. In another vessel, add oil, tejpata, onions. Then add the masala paste and cook till the oil separates.
7. Add turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, and red chili powder to the masala. Blend it well. Add potatoes to the masala and cook it covered.
8. Pour 2 cups of water. Add the nadia bara and cook for 3 to 5 minutes.
Serve this dish and enjoy.
