Nutritious Methi Kadubu

    Ingredients to make Methi Kadubu:

    For the dough - 1 cup Wheat flour, 1/2 tsp Ajwain, 1 tsp Oil, Salt to taste. To temper: 1/2 cup methi leaves chopped, 1 onion chopped, 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds, 1/2 tsp Cumin, few Curry Leaves , 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder, Salt to taste, 1-2 tbsp Oil

    Steps to make Methi Kadubu:

    1. To the wheat flour add salt, ajwain, and oil. Slowly add water and knead well to form a dough. Keep aside for 20 mins.

    2. Divide the dough into small balls and flatten them like coins.

    3. Steam cook these dumplings in a steamer or idli stand for about 15-20 mins.

    4. In a pan, add 1-2 tbsp of oil, season with mustard and jeera. When they crackle, add curry leaves and onion. Sauté for 2-3 mins.

    5. Add methi leaves, salt and turmeric powder. Sauté for about 5-6 mins, till the methi leaves gets cooked.

    6. Now add steamed wheat dumplings to the methi mixture. Mix well and sauté for 3-5 mins. Serve hot.

    Serve this delicious dish called Methi Kadubu right away!
