A sweet and sour chutney made of elephant apple is perfect to serve along with snacks. It is rich in vitamin C.

3 petals elephant apple, ½ cup sugar, 1 tsp grated ginger, a string of curry leaves, 1 tbsp mustard paste, ½ tsp paanch puran, 1 dry red chili, 1 tsp red chilli powder, 1 tsp turmeric powder, 2 tbsp oil, 1 tbsp wheat flour, salt to taste
1. Peel off the outer skin of elephant apple petals, cut into long strips and wash properly.
2. Slightly crush the petals with the help of stone pistil and boil them in ½ cup of water. Add salt and turmeric while boiling.
3. Heat oil in a pan. Add panch phuran, dry chilli and let them splutter. Add curry leaves and crushed ginger and saute for a minute.
4. Add red chilli powder and fry. Add boiled oou with water, sugar, mustard paste, and let it boil.
5. Make a paste of wheat flour in a bowl by adding water. Add this flour paste in pan and mix well.
Cook till the gravy becomes thick and serve with snack of your choice.
