Peeth Perun Bhaji

It is an easy recipe, which is very healthy as it contains besan and capsicum. Besan provides lots of benefits as it is rich in iron, folate, thiamin, vitamin B6, phosphorous, and magnesium. Moreover, capsicum is rich in vitamin C, which helps to fight infections and strengthens your child's immune system.

    Ingredients to make Peeth Perun Bhaji:

    2 cups diced capsicum, 1/4 tsp turmeric powder,1/4 tsp cumin seeds, 1/4 tsp mustard seeds, 2 tbsp oil, handful of chopped cilantro, salt per taste, 1½ tbsp onion garlic paste, 2 tbsp roasted peanut powder, 3/4 cup besan, 1 small chopped onion, and a pinch of hing

    Steps to make Peeth Perun Bhaji:

    1. Take a pan and heat oil. Add mustard seeds and cumin seeds, let it splutter. Then, add turmeric powder and hing.

    2. Add onion and saute until golden brown.

    3. Add chopped capsicum, and continue sauting for 3-4 minutes on low heat.

    4. Add onion garlic paste, salt and peanut powder. Mix well.

    5. Keep the flame on low and sprinkle besan little by little, approx. one tablespoon at a time, so that the masala is coated well on capsicum. Mix well so that no lumps are formed.

    6. Cover the pan and cook for 4-5 minutes on medium heat. You can sprinkle a little water to bring everything together. Garnish with cilantro.

    Serve Peeth Perun Bhaji along with hot bhakri/, roti, or steamed rice.
