Pineapple Kesari

Pineapples are readily available in the market these days. So why not try out a quick recipe using pineapples. Pneapples are rich in potassium, carbohydrate, dietary fibre, Vitamin C, Vitamin A, iron, calcium, Vitamin B6 and magnesium. Pineapple kesari is quite easy to prepare at home. Here’s how you can cook this delicious dish easily.

    Ingredients: ½ cup rava, ½ cup sugar, 1 ½ cup water, 4 tbsp ghee, 12-15 cashews, 1 tbsp raisins, ¼ tsp cardamom powder, ¾ chopped pineapple, 10-12 saffron strands, 1-2 drops of pineapple essence. 

    Steps: 

     1. Take a pan and heat water, sugar and pineapple cubes in it. Cook it till the sugar dissolves completely and the water comes to a boil. Add the saffron strands.

     2. Heat ghee in a pan and add cashews to it. Add sooji to the pan and sauté till it gives off its characteristic aroma and the cashews have turned golden. 

     3. Pour the pineapple solution into the sooji and cover with the lid. Cook on low flame for about 5 minutes. 

     4. Remove from the flame and set aside for cooling. 

    Serve with a few pineapple cubes. You can give it as dessert after dinner. So start prepping this delicious dessert right away!
