Poda Pitha made with rice flour, black gam, jaggery is a special part of festival raja in Odisha. A unique cake, this one has a very extraordinary taste and is healthy for your kid.

    Ingredients to make Poda Pitha:

    2 cups rice, 2 cups black gram, 2 cups jaggery, 1 tsp cardamom powder, 1 tsp salt, 1 coconut

    Steps to make Poda Pitha:

    1. Wash and soak rice and dal. Grind it to fine paste.

    2. Add salt to the paste, cover and leave it overnight.

    3. Break the coconut into two halves. Grate half coconut and cut half coconut into small pieces.

    4. Add grated coconut, coconut pieces, cardamom powder, jaggery in rice gram paste. Mix well.

    5. Preaheat the oven at 200 degress. Pour the batter in greased baking dish and bake it for 30-45 minutes.

    6. Check the pitha in between if it is baked or not.

    Cut into pieces and serve warm or cold.
