Potato Burger

Potato burger when made with loads of veggies becomes a nutritious meal. Carrots contains Vitamin A, B, C, potassium and calcium while green beans are full of vitamin A and K to help build immune system. Peas are also high in vitamins A and C.

    Ingredients to make Potato Burger:

    3 boiled mashed potatoes,1/4 cup boiled mashed peas, 1 grated carrot, ¼ cup boiled and mashed beans,1 onion finely chopped, 1 or 2 onion slices, 2 cheese slices(optional), a few lettuce leaves, whole wheat buns, 4 tomato slices, Mayonnaise as needed, Oil for frying, ½ cup poha,salt to taste.

    Steps to make Potato Burger:

    1. Soak the poha in water for 20 minutes

    2. In a pan, heat oil and saute the finely chopped onions, till they turn transparent.

    3. Add the carrots and saute till soft. Do the same with beans and the mashed peas.

    4.Add salt and stir fry the veggies for 2 mins. Turn off the gas and let it cool.

    5.Add the mashed potato in the above mixture. Then add the soaked & squeezed poha.

    6. Take small balls of this mixture and pat them into patties. Shallow fry or deep fry the patties.

    7. On one side of the bun, apply mayonnaise. Arrange lettuce, tomato, and onion slices on the bun.

    8. Place the patty on top of this and cover with the second side of the bun.

    Your juicy healthy burger is ready. Cut it into 2 pieces and serve it immediately.
