6 boiled and sliced potatoes, 2 onions sliced, 1 tsp garlic paste, 2 rolls puff pastry, 2 cups grated cheese, salt to taste, 1 tsp milk, beaten, 1 tsp oil
1. Heat oil, and fry the onions until translucent. Add the garlic and fry for another 2 minutes. Remove and set aside.
2. Roll one half of the pastry out to 2-3mm thick. Place on a baking tray.
3. Spread the onions over the pastry. Scatter half the cheese over the onions followed by a layer of sliced potatoes. Add salt.
4. Scatter the remaining cheese, followed by another layer of potatoes. Season again.
5. Roll out the remaining roll of pastry and lay over the pie. Seal the edges and brush with the milk.
6. Bake at 180°C for 15-20 minutes until the pastry is golden and crisp. Slice and serve hot.
