    Ingredients to make Pottukadalai Murukku:

    Rice Flour – 1 cup, roasted split gram dal – 1/4 cup, salt to taste, sesame seeds – 1 tsp, asafoetida – a pinch, ghee – 1 tbsp, water as needed

    Steps to make Pottukadalai Murukku:

    1. Take dal in a blender and grind it into a fine powder.

    2. Take rice flour, dal powder, sesame seeds, salt, asafoetida, and ghee in a bowl and mix well. Add water and knead to a soft dough.

    3. Heat oil for deep frying. Fill the dough in a murukku maker and press over the oil to drop murukkus directly into the oil.

    4. Deep fry till golden. Drain and serve.
