This tangy and tasty sabzi is a good change for your kid's lunch or dinner time. This sabzi is finger licking due to its tangy and amazing flavor. Serve it with roti or paratha to your kid and see her plate get empty in no time.
3 tbsp cooking oil, 1 medium chopped onion, 1 tsp mustard seeds, 1 tsp jeera, 1 tbsp chopped garlic, 2 chopped green chiles, a pinch of hing, 1 chopped tomato, ½ tsp turmeric powder, 1 tsp red chili powder, 1 tsp coriander powder, salt to taste, water as required, 1 cup sev, ½ tsp garam masala powder, chopped coriander leaves
1. Heat 3 tbsp oil in a kadai, add mustard seeds and cumin seeds. Let them crackle.
2. Add chopped garlic, green chiles and saute them till they turn golden brown in color.
3. Add the chopped onions and let them turn golden brown in color.
4. Add chopped tomatoes and mix well. Let them cook till they turn soft.
5. Now add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder and salt.
6. Cook this for 3-4 minutes and add 2.5 cups of water.
7. Let this boil for 5 minutes. Turn the heat to low and add sev to this mixture.
8. Let it boil for a minute. Add garam masala powder, coriander leaves and mix well.
9. Top it with some more sev and few coriander leaves.
Serve it hot with paratha or roti.
