    Ingredients to make Ribbon Murukku:

    2 cups rice flour, 1 cup besan, 1 tsp sesame seeds, ½ tsp cumin crushed, ¼ tsp turmeric, pinch of asafoetida, ½ tsp salt, 2 tbsp hot oil, 1 cup water or as required, oil for deep frying

    Steps to make Ribbon Murukku:

    1. Mix rice flour, besan, sesame seeds, crushed cumin, turmeric, asafoetida and salt.

    2. Add 2 tbsp hot oil and mix well. Add water to make a soft dough.

    3. Heat oil for deep frying. Fill the ribbon murukku press with the dough and press it out in ribbons directly into the hot oil.

    4. Fry till golden. Drain and serve.
