Prepare this healthy Ridge Gourd Chutney to be served along with dosa, idli, or vada to your child. The ridge gourd skin has all the main nutrients and is very healthy for your child.

    Ingredients to make Ridge Gourd Chutney:

    1 cup ridge gourd skin, 2 green chillies, 2-3 garlic buds, 1 tsp roasted cumin seeds, 1 tsp mustard seeds, 1 tbsp chana dal, 1 tbsp urad dal, 1 tbsp lemin juice, 1 tbsp oil, red chilli powder, salt to taste

    Steps to make Ridge Gourd Chutney:

    1. Heat the oil in a pan and fry ridge gourd skin for 2-3 minutes on medium flame. Remove and set aside to cool.

    2. In the same pan , fry green chillies for a minute and set aside. No fry dals till the turn golden brown.

    3. Once all the fried items are cool down, add cumin seeds, garlic and salt and grind them to a smooth or coarse chutney. Add lemon juice and grind well.

    4. Heat the same pan, temper with mustard seeds, curry leaves, and red chili. Pour this tempering over chutney.

    Serve with snacks.
