Scrambled Cottage Cheese

Paneer is a fresh Indian cheese (Indian cottage cheese). It makes a great breakfast or dinner for the obvious reasons, it is a tasty, quick and healthy recipe. It is rich in carbohydrate, protein, sodium, and potassium.

    Ingredients to make Scrambled Cottage Cheese:

    1 tbsp oil, 100 gm paneer, 100g onion finely chopped, 1/4 tsp cumin powder, 2-3 capsicums finely chopped, 1 tomato finely chopped, 1⁄2 red chili powder, 2-3 tbsp green coriander leaves, salt to taste

    Steps to make Scrambled Cottage Cheese:

    1. Heat oil in a thick bottomed pan on medium heat.

    2. Add onions, green chilli, and saute for 1-2 minutes until onions are translucent.

    3. Cook till onions are light pink in color.

    4. Add salt, chopped tomato, capsicums, cumin powder, red chilli powder. Mix and cook for 1 minute.

    5. Add crumbled paneer and mix until [aneer is mixed well with fried masala.

    6. Cook the paneer for 3-4 minutes, don’t overcook otherwise paneer may turn rubbery.

    7. Garnish with coriander leaves and chopped green chilli.

    Serve hot with roti or chapati !
