Spicy Chicken Momos

Fond of spicy food? Then this Crunchy Chicken Momos recipe is tasty and spicy food. This is an instant recipe and you can delight with amazing flavours of this dish. Chicken has a good source of sodium, proteins, phosphorus.

    Ingredients to make Spicy Chicken Momos:

    ¼ cup cabbage (grated), ¼ cup carrots (grated), ¼ cup capsicum (grated), 1 large onion chopped, 1 tsp. coriander leaves finely chopped, ½ tsp.chopped garlic and garlic, ½ tsp. pepper powder, ½ tsp. red chilli flakes, 2 tsp. oil, 1 cup maida, water as required, ½ cup chicken (minced), salt to taste

    Steps to make Spicy Chicken Momos:

    Momos dough preparation:

    1. Take a cup of maida in a large mixing bowl, add oil, and salt to taste.

    2. Rub them with your fingers so that all the three are mixed well.

    3. Now add water little by little and knead the dough till it is soft and non-sticky.

    4. Cover the dough with moist cloth and keep aside for atleast for an hour.

    Chicken preparation for stuffing:

    1. Heat oil in a wide pan and sauté onions till they are transparent. Add garlic, ginger and sauté till the raw smell disappears.

    2. Add grated cabbage, carrots, capsicum, minced chicken and sauté till they are tender. Add salt, pepper powder, red chilli flakes, coriander leaves and give a good mix. Allow it to cool.

    Momos preparation:

    1. Take the prepared dough and knead again to get a soft texture.

    2. Divide them into equal small balls. Take a ball and flatten it and dust it with maida and roll it using a rolling pin.

    3. Roll it to a thin circle of 4-5 inch diameter, ensure that the sides are well rolled and the center is slightly thick.

    4. Place a tbsp. of prepared chicken stuffing in centre

    5. Start pleating the edges slowly and gather everything and press in middle and seal the momos.

    6. Heat a steamer and place a tray lined with cabbage leaf. Place the momos on the cabbage leaf so that they do not stick to the tray.

    7. Steam the momos for 10 minutes or till shiny sheen appears over it.
