Stuffed Mooli Paneer Paratha

Stuffed Mooli Paneer Paratha is a heavenly combination of radish and cottage cheese. It can be given as snack to kids or had for breakfast, lunch, or dinner as well. Radish is rich in fiber and good for the liver. Cottage cheese or paneer is a good source of protein.

    Ingredients to make Stuffed Mooli Paneer Paratha:

    2 mooli/mullangi (radish) washed and grated, 200 grams paneer (grated), 1 green chili finely chopped, 4 cloves of garlic finely chopped, 1 inch ginger finely chopped, 1 teaspoon cumin (jeera) powder, 2 teaspoon cooking oil, salt to taste, 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder (haldi), 1 teaspoon cumin (jeera) powder, 1 cup whole wheat flour, ghee

    Steps to make Stuffed Mooli Paneer Paratha:

    1. To begin making the Stuffed Mooli Paneer Paratha, grate the paneer and radish and set aside.

    Making the stuffing:

    2. Heat a skillet on medium flame, add 1 teaspoon oil, now add the cumin seeds, chopped ginger and garlic, saute for 30 seconds. Now add the radish, salt and continue to saute on high heat till all the moisture from radish evaporates.

    3. Turn off the flame. Transfer the mixture into a mixing bowl.

    4. Into that mixing bowl, add grated paneer, green chili, cumin powder, and mix well.

    5. The stuffing of the Mooli Paneer Paratha is ready.

    Making Stuffed Mooli Paneer Paratha:

    6. In a mixing bowl, add the whole wheat flour to amke the dough by adding little water at a time and knead well to make a smooth dough. Divide the dough into equal portions.

    7. Dust a flat working surface with some flour. Roll a portion into a ball and flatten it using your fingers and roll it out into a 3 inch diameter circle.

    8. Place about 2 tablespoons of the Mooli Paneer stuffing in the center, gather the edge and seal it. Carefully roll it out into a circle about 6-7 inches in diameter.

    9. Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the stuffed mooli paneer paratha with ghee until cooked through, and has golden brown spots on both sides.

    10. Repeat with the remaining portions of the dough.

    Serve fresh!
