Sweet Corn Vada

Sweet Corn Vada is an instant snack. Corn is a healthy element that can be added to the diet. It has a crispy exterior and soft interior. Its sweetness, bright yellow color, and good amount of protein make it a wonder food. It is a rich source of vitamins and minerals such as vitamin B1, B5, C, phosphorus, manganese, and dietary fibre.

    Ingredients to make Sweet Corn Vada:

    1 cup sweet corn kernels, 3/4 cup rava, 1 roughly chopped onion, ½ peeled ginger, 3-4 green chilies,2 tbsp mint leaves, 2 tbsp coriander leaves,salt to taste, oil for frying.

    Steps to make Sweet Corn Vada:

    1. Heat oil for deep frying in a kadai. Maintain medium flame.

    2. Add  sweet corn kernels, rava, onion, ginger,green chilies, and salt in a food processor.

    3. Pulse 8-10 times. Add 1/8-1/4 cup water just to bind everything. Vada batter is now ready. Add chopped coriander and mint leaves into it.

    4. Take a lemon sized ball of batter and shape like vada with a hole in the center. Deep fry in hot oil.

    Serve Corn Vada hot with sauce.
