Thengai Paal Murukku is a traditional recipe with a nice taste of coconut milk. It is addictive, crispy and little sweet and contains calcium.

    Ingredients to make Thengai Paal Murukku:

    1 cup rice flour, 1/4 cup urad dal, 1 tbsp sesame seeds, 1.5 tsp butter, salt as needed, a pinch of hing, ½ cup coconut milk, oil

    Steps to make Thengai Paal Murukku:

    1. Dry roast urad dal and powder it finely. Keep aside.

    2. Take rice flour, urad dal flour, butter, sesame seeds, hing, salt together in a bowl and mix well with your hands.

    3. Add coconut milk little at a time and knead a smooth and soft dough.

    4. Heat oil in a skillet and take murukku maker and put dough in it.

    5. Start pressing and drop murukkus directly in hot oil. Fry till golden and crisp.

    Cool them a bit and serve.
