    Ingredients to make Yummy Chicken and Veggies:

    1 cup sliced carrots, 1 turnip, 1 sliced potato, ½ cup peas, 1½ pound chicken

    Steps to make Yummy Chicken and Veggies:

    1. Place chicken in a 3-qt. slow cooker. Add the carrots, turnip, peas and pepper.

    2. Cover and cook on low for 5 hours or until chicken is tender.

    3. Remove chicken and vegetables to a serving platter; keep warm. Skim fat from cooking juices; transfer to a small saucepan. Bring the liquid to a boil.

    4. Gradually stir into the pan. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. Serve with chicken and vegetables.

    Serve with rice and enjoy the meal.
