Who can resist the appeal of a crunchy, deliciously-stuffed kachori? Indori Khasta Kachori is made with urad and moong dals. While urad is the richest source of proteins and Vitamin B, moong is packed with essential nutrients such as magnesium, copper, zinc etc. Here’s how you can prepare this healthy snack.

Ingredients: 1 cup of urad and moong dal, each; 1 ½ cups of maida, 1 teaspoon of fennel seeds, two tablespoons of ginger paste, a pinch of hing and aam chur powder, each; ½ teaspoon of dhania powder, haldi powder and garam masala, each; a pinch of cumin and sesame seeds, green chillies, salt to taste, oil to deep fry.
Steps:
1. Knead the flour into a soft dough and keep it aside for 30 minutes.
2. Saute the cumin, sesame and fennel seeds with green chillies and hing. Add the garlic paste and fry.
3. Add moong and urad dal to the paste, sauté and add the masala powders.
4. Roll the dough into little balls and stuff in the mixture. Deep fry.
