Baked Fritters

Easy to prepare, these Baked Fritters are packed with nutrients densed spinach, gramflour and carom seeds loaded with folate, vitamins, and iron, to keep your little one's digestion on track.

    Ingredients to make Baked Fritters:

    1 bundle of spinach, 1⁄2 cup gram flour, 1 tsp carom seeds, 1 tbsp baking powder, 1 tsp white sesame seeds, 1 tsp cumin powder, 1/4th tsp black pepper, turmeric, salt, water and oil for brushing

    Steps to make Baked Fritters:

    1. Wash spinach leaves properly and strain them. Finely chop the leaves.

    2. In a bowl take gramflour, carom seeds, baking powder, turmeric, cumin powder, black pepper, salt as needed. Mix well.

    3. Add chopped spinach leaves into it and now add water. Don't add too much , it should be thick like pan cake batter.

    4. Now grease the baking tray with oil. Put spoonfulls of batter on the baking tray. Flatten them using spoon. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top.

    5. Now bake the fritters at 220 degress for 10 minutes. Flip the fritters after 10 minutes and bake them again for 10 minutes.

    Oil-free crispy Baked Spinach Fritters are ready to serve. Mash them before serving to your child. Accompany it with green mint chutney or home made tomato ketchup.
