Try out this different recipe for your kiddo, which is healthier and tastier. Dal contains folic acid, proteins, carbs and fibre where as brinjal contrains fibre, protein, manganese, potassium, and vitamin K.

2 medim size brinjals,1 cup toor dal, 1 medium size onion, 3 chopped green chiles, handful of chopped coriander leaves, paste of 5-garlic and 1-inch ginger ,1 tsp cumin seeds, 1/4 tsp mustard seeds, 2 tsp dhania seeds, 2 red chiles, 1 pinch of hing, 1 pinch of turmeric powder, oil, and salt according to taste
1. Roast the toor dal for about a minute. Then cook it in a pressure cooker for about 2 minutes or for one whistle.
2. In a heavy bottomed pan, fry red chillies, cumin, and dhania seeds, and grind them to form a fine powder.
3. In a heavy bottomed pan, put 2 tsp of oil, and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, hing, and turmeric powder. Let it splutter, then add green chillies, ginger-garlic paste, onion and brinjal and stir well. Let it cook for about 3 minutes.
4. Add toor dal and salt. Cook for about 15 to 20 minutes.
5. Put it to simmer, add coriander leaves, an:d cook for about a minute.
A bowl full of nutrients is here to serve to your kiddo. Serve hot with rice/phulkas.
