Kheer is one of the favorite desserts in our country and is much loved by all. This is a recipe of Brown Rice Kheer, which adds more nutrients and fiber in the dish. Fibers helps in easing constipation and improve overall digestion. The procedure will be almost the same as the one when you make conventional rice kheer. It is easy, delicious, with a dash cardamom or saffron and simmered for a long time till the rice is soft and almost dissolving into the milk.
Contents
1/2 cup brown rice , 2.5 cups milk, 1/4 tsp green cardomom powder, sugar as required ( it can be replaced with honey also) few safron stands, cashew and golden raisins
1. Combime brown rice with 1.5 cups water and cook over medium heat for 30 minutes and keep it aside.
2. Take a vok, add milk and cook till it boils immensely, then add cooked rice and mix well.
3. Add cardomon powder and keep cooking on medium flame till you get desired consistency, stir occaionally.
4. Lastly, add sugar and nuts, cook for another 1 minute and switch off the flame.
Serve chilled. Your full of love thick fresh creamy Indian rice pudding called Brown Rice Kheer is ready to enjoy.
