Butter Macaroni

Instead of her usual foods, you might want to change things up for your little one by serving her some homemade, baby-style macaroni and cheese. Cheese is very good for babies and provides calcium, “good” fats and protein too. A baby needs healthy fat for brain development; olive oil and butter are good options.

Ingredients to make Butter Macaroni:

2 tbsp Olive oil, 1 cheese cube, 2tbsp butter,1/2 cup cow milk, 1 cup macroni, salt as required and 1 tsp black pepper

Steps to make Butter Macaroni:

1. Boil the pasta with a pinch of salt to expedite blanching.Make sure that the pasta is boiled properly as sometime it may take some extra time. Keep stirring in between so that the pasta doesn't stick to the bottom of the container. After boiling, drain out the water from pasta.

2. Take 2 tbsp. olive oil in a wok add about half a cup of milk, keep stirring. Once it thickens like mayonnaise, add a cube of grated cheese and butter.

3. Keep stirring. Your white sauce is ready. Add finely chopped boiled vegetables (if you wish to add any veggies) and blanched pasta in white sauce.

4. Add salt and black pepper. Mix it well. Turn off the flame after 3-4 mins.

Your yummilicious macaroni is ready. Serve it warm so that your kiddo enjoys the flavour of cheese and butter.
