Made with grated carrots, khoya, milk, dry fruits and ghee, this carrot halwa has a divine taste and aroma that takes your child to another world. This carrot halwa is rich in Vitamin A.

2 cups grated carrot, 2 cups milk, ½ cup khoya, 1 cup sugar, nuts, 1/4 cup ghee, 1 tsp cardamom powder
1. Heat the ghee in a deep non-stick kadhai, add the carrots, mix well and cook on a medium flame till carrot tenders, while stirring continuously.
2. Add milk and cook on low flame till carrots absorb all milk.
3. Add the sugar, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 2 minutes, while stirring continuously.
4. Add the mava, mix well and cook on a medium flame for another 3 minutes, while stirring continuously.
5. Add the cardamom powder and mix well.
Garnish with nuts and serve warm or store refrigerated in an air-tight container till serving.
