You can flavour the porridge using a healthy mix of nuts like cashews, which have vital vitamin and minerals and roasted channa and peanuts, both a good source of protein. Adding coconut, provides dietary fibre, vitamin and minerals. Raisins too provide carbohydrates, vitamins, and minerals.

Ingredients to make Flat Rice and Dry Fruits Porridge:

½ cup flattened rice powder, ½ tsp each powdered cashews, roasted channa and peanuts, 1 tsp grated coconut, 1 tsp raisins, 1 tsp ghee, salt as per taste, water as required

Steps to make Flat Rice and Dry Fruits Porridge:

1. Powder the flattened rice in a mixer.

2. In a pan, add ghee and saute the cashews and peanuts. Grind them to a fine powder along with roasted channa. Saute the raisins for a minute and finely chop them.

3. In the same pan, add the flattened rice powder. Add boiling water and mix well to form a lump free porridge. When the mixture comes to a boil, switch off the flame. Adjust water as per the consistency of porridge needed.

4. Add salt. Finally add the powdered nut mix, grated coconut and chopped raisins. Mix well.
