Doce Bhaji

This recipe is simple and easy to make. You can serve this delicious sweet porridge during tea-time to your little one. Broken wheat has a good content of potassium and selenium.

    Ingredients to make Doce Bhaji:

    1 cup broken wheat (soaked in water for 2 hours), 1 coconut milk extracted thick and thin batch, ¾ cup sugar, 3 tbsp. ghee, ½ tsp. nutmeg, 3 cardamom powder/elaichi, a pinch of salt, 2 tbsp. ghee roasted nuts.

    Steps to make Doce Bhaji:

    1. In a heavy bottomed pan heat broken wheat along with thin coconut milk, keep stirring constantly.

    2. Add cardamom and nutmeg powder and stir. Add thick coconut milk and bring to boil. Add sugar and salt, and stir.

    3. Add ghee and keep stirring continuously until it is in porridge consistency.

    Garnish it with nuts and serve your child.
