Then try out this recipe which contain good amounts of many vital B-complex vitamins such as folates, vitamin-B6 (pyridoxine), thiamin (vitamin B-1), riboflavin, pantothenic acid, niacin and other nutients like protein, folic acid, carbs and fibre.Curry leaves will add the aroma and gives a wonderful flavour.

2 drumsticks peeled, ½ cup toor dal, 1 medium sized tomato, ½ medium sized onion, 1 tsp cumin seeds, 2 dry red chiles, 1 tsp mustard seeds, a sprig of curry leaves, a pinch asafoetida, ½ tspturmeric powder, 1 tsp red chili powder, 2 tsp oil, a handful of coriander leaves for garnishing, salt to taste
1. Peel the drumsticks and cut it into 2 inch sized pieces. Then boil it by adding 2 cups water. Keep it aside.
2. Clean and wash the toor dal and keep aside for 30 minutes.
3. Finely chop the onion and tomatoes.
4. Heat the pressure cooker pan and add onion, tomato and toor dal along with 2 cups water and pressure cook for 4 to 5 whistles.
5. Meanwhile, heat oil in a wok. Add mustard seeds and let it splutter. Further add jeera, asafoetida, dry red chillies and curry leaves and saute for 2 minutes.
6. Add chopped garlic and sauté till raw smell of garlic goes away. Then add turmeric powder, salt and red chilli powder and mix well.
7. Add cooked dal and mix it well. Now add the boiled and drained drumsticks to the cooked dal and simmer for 5 minutes on low heat.
Garnish with chopped coriander leaves. Serve hot.
