Gahat is a very healthy lentil used to prepare many dishes in the mountain region. Prepare soup from this lentil to provide a protein dose to your child.

Ingredients to make Gahat Soup:
2 cups boiled gahat water, 1 tsp garam masala, 1 tbsp cream, 2 tbsp gahat dal, 2 tbsp ginger and garlic water
Steps to make Gahat Soup:
1. Wash and soak gahat dal overnight. Boil it in the morning. Remove dal and collect water.
2. Grind the boiled dal. Heat boiled dal water in a pan, add ginger garlic water, garam masala, salt, and half dal paste. Bring it to boil on simmer.
Remove from flame. Add cream and serve.
